Insurance Programs

1. All Risks

What we cover:

  • loss or damage, defects and/or total loss of cargo that occurred virtually for any reason except commonly accepted exclusions;
  • all required and reasonably incurred salvage and preservation expenses, expenses for mitigation and ascertainment of damage;
  • losses, expenses and contribution in general average.

2. With Particular Average

What we cover: 

  • losses due to damage or total loss of full or part of cargo that occurred as a result of a fire, explosion, stroke of lightning, storm, hurricane or other acts of God;
  • losses owing to wreckage or collision of transportation facilities, their stroke into fixed or floating objects, ice damage to a vessel, stranding and aircraft crashes;
  • losses owing to disappearance of a transport facility with cargo;
  • losses owing to dropping/collapse of bridge and tunnel  structures, collapse of a warehouse roof;
  • losses owing to wetting, washing overboard and emergency discharge of cargo as well as measures related to firefighting;
  • losses, expenses and contribution in general average;
  • losses owing to accidents upon loading, stowing and discharging of cargo, fuelling of a transportation facility;
  • losses due to all required and reasonably incurred salvage expenses.

3. Free of Particular Average

What we cover:

  • losses due to total loss of full or part of cargo that occurred as a result of a fire, stroke of lightning, explosion, storm or other acts of God;
  • losses owing to wreckage or collision of trains, vessels, planes or other transportation facilities to each other, their stroke into fixed or floating objects, ice damage to a vessel, stranding and aircraft crashes;
  • losses owing to dropping/collapse of bridge and tunnel  structures at the time of passage of a transportation facility, collapse of a warehouse roof;
  • losses due to cargo damage as a result of seawater wetting, its washing overboard and emergency discharge of cargo from the plane as well as measures related to firefighting;
  • losses owing to disappearance of a transport facility with cargo;
  • losses owing to accidents upon loading, stowing and discharging of cargo, fuelling of a transportation facility;
  • losses, expenses and contribution in general average;
  • all reasonably incurred salvage expenses as well as expenses for mitigation and ascertainment of damage.

Insurance agreement normally takes effect from loading of cargo to a transport facility and shall be valid within the period of its carriage per a stipulated route and up to a consignee’s receipt of the cargo at a destination point.

Coverage may apply to hatch hours and/or period of intermediate warehousing of cargo if mutually agreed by parties.

The sum insured is generally set as an actual value (the value may include cargo shipping and cargo protection expenses, customs clearance charge and expected profit if mutually agreed by parties).
